Reported data is scarce on light curing times of restorations and irradiance of the curing devices used. In this study we sought to improve the knowledge of such parameters as total light dose applied to a restoration layer and the total potential exposure to reflected light to the dentist’s eyes during a workday.

The increase in antibiotic resistant bacteria calls for conscious antibiotic prescription which should be restricted to evidence-based knowledge of their usefulness to the patient.

The scientific programme for ScSB 2017 is to ”bite into the underlying challenges faced by the field of biomaterials and tissue engineering and will focus on digging into some of the fundamental questions in biomaterial science.”
