The effects of dentin pre-treatment with ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) or iodine-potassium iodide (IKI) on the adhesion of a conventional root filling material (gutta-percha and epoxy resin based sealer) and an acrylic-resin-based system with adhesive technology were studied.

The microscopic details of the debonded interfaces between endodontic sealers and dentin or gutta-percha were assessed in this study.
