NIOM participants at this 44rth annual meeting: Jon E. Dahl, Jan Tore Samuelsen, Solveig Uvsløkk and Bergitte P. Olderbø The meeting was held by NSFT (Norwegian Society of Pharmacology and Toxicology) at Beitostølen, Norway, on 28-30 January 2016
The topics of the meeting included modelling, epigenetics and exposomics, and the toxicology sections included topics such as pollutants in the Polar Regions and plastic pollution.
Solveig Uvsløkk contributed with the poster: Effects of resin-based dental materials on protein S-glutathionylation.
Bergitte P. Olderbø contributed with the presentation: Exposure to dental monomer HEMA (2-hydroxyethylmethacrylate) induces transcription of genes involved in oxidative stress. This study suggests specific genes and proteins involved with HEMA exposure based on transcriptomics data and Western blot.
