European Society of Biomaterials (ESB) will hold its 29th annual meeting at Maastricht, the Netherlands September 9-13, 2018. The theme this year will be “Materials for life”, aiming to discuss challenges the field of biomaterials is currently facing.
NIOM engineer Bergitte P. Olderbø will hold a presentation titled “Effects of Nrf2 signaling on cytotoxicity induced by HEMA from dental biomaterials” on September 11th, at 14.30, during the session of “Developments in applied biomaterials”. The study has compared the effect of HEMA on two human epithelial airway cells, focusing on Nrf2 activity.
