NIOM scientist Ida Sofia Refsholt Stenhagen will attend the International Association for Dental Research General Session and Exhibition held in San Francisco, California, March 22nd – 25th.

Stenhagen will present research on how addition of methacrylated chitosan added to an experimental dental adhesive significantly reduced biofilm formation and consequently may be useful in prevention of secondary caries development. The title of her presentation is “Anti-biofilm Effect of Dental Adhesive Containing Methacrylated Chitosan“. Read her abstract here.

The aim of the annual IADR General Session & Exhibition is to promote good dental research internationally, with over 6.700 expected attendees representing over 77 countries.
