Managing dental erosions

Patients with erosions – what do we do as dental professionals?
The course covers the diagnostic tools for dental erosion, which can be used during a clinical examination. Furthermore, the causal factors that can cause erosive lesions are reviewed. And how to treat such tooth damages once they occur? What preventative treatment options can we offer patients with erosions? And what do we do when erosive lesions have become so extensive that they need operative treatment?

This course is accepted in the continuing education program for the Norwegian Dental Association (NDA/NTF).

Lecturer:
Aida Mulic, Scenior Scientist
DDS, PhD.
Aida graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Oslo in 2006. The first couple of years she worked at the Public Dental health in Trondheim. From 2008, she was a PhD student at the Faculty of Dentistry, and she defended her dissertation on Dental erosive wear among the adolescents in 2012.
Aida got her clinical competence in the field of cariology, and remained at the faculty as a post. doc. and a clinical teacher until 2016. Since 2016 Aida holds a Senior Scientist position at NIOM, and she works part-time as a private dental practitioner.
