NIOM will represent with both participants at this year’s Årskursus and a stand at Scandefa 2018 in Copenhagen, April 12th to 14th.
NIOM Managing Director Jon E. Dahl and Senior Scientists Aida Mulic and Jan Tore Samuelsen will participate in session 20, a mini symposium, in this year’s Årskursus program, entitled ”den farlige kemi? (dangerous chemistry?). The points the mini symposium will cover are:
- Dose-dependent risks
- Significance of particular vulnerability
- The precautionary principle
- Risk experience and management
Dahl, Mulic and Samuelsen will also assist NIOM communication officer Jon-Eric Melsæter at stand C2-030A at Scandefa 2018, one of Scandiavia’s largest dental trade fairs for dental equipment, where NIOM is represented to promote their monthly newsletter and webinars. This year the focus is on spreading awareness on how NIOM serves dental health in the Nordics with special focus on making sure dentists and dental health professionals sign up for NIOM’s free monthly newsletter. The newsletter contains insight from NIOM’s research, adapted into two short, easy-to-read articles with clinically relevant information.
Denmark is, besides Norway and Iceland, one of the countries where participation in NIOM webinars means participants can redeem their attendance for continuing education units with their respective countries’ dental associations. The webinars consist of a 20-25 minute presentation on a clinically relevant topic, followed by a one hour Q&A session where participants can engage with NIOM staff and ask questions they might have.
If you are a dental professional heading to Årskursus and Scandefa, make sure you visit us at stand C2-030A for a chat or to get answers to questions you might have on a clinical problem or topic you want to learn more about!
