Over and above titaniums’s acknowledged biological and biochemical compatibility with the body, the biomechanical compatibility can be improved through alloying and heat treatment that reduce its inherent stiffness, bringing it closer to the stiffness of tooth structure, while increasing its strength. With more titanium alloys in use, there is, however, a risk of increased release of some of the other components of certain titanium alloys
